There is nothing quite like sipping a homemade iced latte on a Summer’s day. Icy cold and with slightly of vanilla, it's such a refreshing thanks to enjoy coffee on a hot day.

Here we explain the way to make an iced vanilla latte reception – super quick and straightforward , this iced latte recipe is certain to become a replacement favorite thanks to enjoy coffee reception .

Iced latte vs ice coffee vs cold brew

There are quite few ways you'll enjoy coffee cold, so what's the difference between the various cold coffee drinks?
Cold Brew Coffee

Cold brew may be a slow immersion brewing method where dregs are immersed in cold water for 16-24 hours. the tactic produces a flavorful coffee concentrate which will be enjoyed straight, over ice or with milk.
Iced Coffee

Iced coffee may be a generic term wont to ask many various cold coffee drinks.

But, it most typically means a glass of hot brewed coffee poured over ice then topped with a little amount of milk and/or cream or sweetened milk within the case of a Vietnamese iced coffee!
Iced Latte

An iced latte consists of 1 or 2 shots of hot espresso poured over ice and topped with cold milk. sort of a hot latte, it's a milk based coffee drink and features a higher percentage of milk to coffee than an ice coffee .

Vanilla latte ingredients and substitutions

In order to form iced latte reception you actually need just two ingredients – coffee and milk.

But for my iced vanilla coffee recipe I even have added only one more ingredient – vanilla . i feel it adds a stunning smooth flavor to the drink, but it are often omitted if preferred.
Type of coffee

An iced latte is technically made with espresso. But if you don’t have an espresso machine, you'll still enjoy an iced latte – see subsequent section below which explains how.
Type of milk

I have used milk in my iced latte recipe as that's what I drink my coffee.

However, if you would like to form an iced skinny latte or a plant based latte sort of a soy iced latte, simply substitute your preferred milk within the recipe.
Iced latte flavors

My homemade vanilla iced latte recipe includes vanilla and sugar to taste.

These are often substituted for homemade or store bought coffee syrup if preferred.

Step 1 – Brew your coffee

Pull 2 shots of espresso. If not using an espresso machine, you'll need 1/2 cup of brewed coffee.
Step 2 – Add sweetener to coffee

Add vanilla and sugar (if using) to hot coffee and stir to mix .
Step 3 – Add cold milk

Finally, place ice cubes during a glass, pour the flavoured espresso over ice and add cold milk.

Stir to mix and luxuriate in reception or enter a reusable cup and drink on the go!

Note: you are doing not use hot milk during this iced vanilla latte recipe. Unlike a hot latte which has textured frothed milk, an iced latte coffee uses cold milk.

Some french vanilla iced latte recipes suggest frothing the cold milk, but I don’t think it's necessary.

If you would like to froth the milk and don’t have a milk frother, we review a number of the simplest milk frothers here.
How to make an iced latte without an espresso machine

If you don’t have a home espresso machine, you'll still make your own iced latte with an alternate kitchen appliance .

If you've got a coffee plunger, pour over, stovetop or coffee maker, simply brew a batch of strong coffee and use 1/2 cup of brewed coffee rather than the espresso shots in your iced vanilla latte.

You can use cold brew coffee, but note you can’t dissolve sugar in cold coffee. So if you would like to sweeten your iced cold brew latte you'll got to use a liquid syrup or sweetener.
